Dandelion Vineyards come up trumps
New-comers to the JHL portfolio, Dandelion Vineyards, have wowed the critics from the word ‘go’. Most recently, James Halliday glowingly reviewed the ‘Lionheart of the Barossa’ Shiraz and ‘Wishing Clock of the Adelaide Hills’ Sauvignon Blanc on his website, www.winecompanion.com.au. Both wines were awarded 5 glasses, equating to “Outstanding. Wine of the highest quality, usually with a distinguished pedigree”.
To put this into context, last year James Halliday published reviews of 5884 wines from 1467 wineries from Australia – only one white wine, a Chardonnay received a higher point (a 97) further to our knowledge he has never reviewed a varietal Sauvignon Blanc this highly before.
